Firefox or Google Chrome web browsers then Press the “Ctrl” and “U” keys on your keyboard.
That will allow you to view the HTML source code for your page. Look for the <title> and the
</title> near the top of the page somewhere.

Does the page have a good page title that is somewhat different from the other pages on your
website?

Is the page title between 3-6 words long?

Is the page title accurately descriptive of the content on that page?

Check the page title for each page on your website.


2) On every page other than your homepage, are you using descriptive text in the URL structure as
was outlined in the guide?

3) Have you written a decent unique Meta Description for that page? Use a sentence or two that
would convince someone to click on your listing. Include your keywords in there once if you can
because then the keywords show up in bold in the search listings.


4) Is your site big enough to need a sitemap? Are you using one? Is it up to date with accurate
information? If your site is less than 20 pages, do you have at least one link pointing at each
page on your site from at least one other page on your website?


5) Are there any places within your site where it makes sense to stick a link in there that points to another page on your website? Can you do it using descriptive anchor text?
